Jacqueline Ellis

Class of 2011

Jacqueline Ellis enjoys people and life.  She has earned her Associate and Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.  Jacqueline is a retired employee of Ford Motor Company after 32 years of service.  She now is a substitute teacher for the Jefferson County Public School System.  Jacqueline is a strong union woman and is a union member of Local 862. She now is on the Retirees Executive Board.  She is the Recording Secretary for the Retirees for Local 862.  During her years of service at Ford Motor Company she was Chairperson of the Citizenship and Legislative Committee; which gave her an opportunity to participate in the political process.  She was raised in a family that was greatly involved in the political arena. Jacqueline was also Chairperson of the Civil Rights Committee.  She firmly believes that a person's rights and politics go hand in hand.  While Chairperson of Civil Rights she tried hard to look out for a persons' rights.  Jacqueline was also a member of the Women's Committee. Her life has been dedicated to her family; Izell, Jonathan, and Christopher (whom she lost in a car accident) work, and her church, First Baptist of Jeffersontown.  She is forever grateful to her parents; Geneva and Bill Johnson for giving her the foundation that she needed.
