Applicants must be women who are registered Democrats and who reside in the state of Kentucky.
Emerge Kentucky will select between 20-25 women from across the state who meet the above criteria and who we believe have the potential to be political leaders.
Emerge embraces diversity and encourages applications from all women regardless of age, race, color, national or ethnic origin, marital status, religious affiliation, sexual orientation or physical abilities.
Tuition for the Emerge Kentucky Program is $750. Tuition offsets the cost of Emerge Kentucky's out-of pocket costs for providing seven training sessions totalling 70 hours. Emerge Kentucky believes that individual financial circumstances should NOT be a barrier to participation in the Program. Financial assistance may be discussed after admission to the Program.
A non-refundable application fee of $50 is required and should be submitted along with a completed application. Payments should be made online. Please submit your application fee at the following link: Application Fee Payment.
November 12th 9AM-12PM EST - Louisville

The Emerge Kentucky training program will begins in January, culminating in a June graduation. Participants meet at least one weekend a month during that time, with one Tuesday session in Frankfort that offers participants the opportunity to observe the state legislature in session.
The success of the Emerge Kentucky Program depends upon commitment to the Program's entire schedule by each participant. Over the six-month period, approximately 70 Program hours are scheduled. Some time outside of regularly scheduled seminars will be necessary for seminar preparation.
During the course of the six-month Program, Emerge Kentucky participants are also required to volunteer for a minimum of 10 hours on a political campaign of their choosing.
